I apologize if this is a duplicate posting...
The current tank speeds are a little ridiculous after the latest (1.7) update. For examples: a no-skills-required militia Sica has a base speed of 303.75 km/h and a no-skills-required Soma has a base speed of 1,020.00 km/h - that's before Afterburners and Fuel Injectors are added. That's just crazy. They're tanks not rocket ships. No wonder these things are out running AV missiles and such. (As a point of reference, the speed of sound is 1,234 km/h)
Does no one else see an issue with this?

Read them right off the fitting screen as I typed my post. Checked them twice. Take a look for yourself. |

Checked them twice. Take a look for yourself. Every intelligent person here knows those numbers are wrong. The correct numbers are listed under vehicle attributes when you show info. Shield HAVs: 19.5m/s, 70.2km/h Armor HAVs: 21.5m/s, 77.4km/h (iirc) My Gunnlogi actually feels slow sometimes when I'm trying to cross the map. My fusion accelerated Falchion was faster in 1.6
Every intelligent person? Really? That's your rebuttal?
Perhaps it is a typo, but there has been plenty of time since the update to have corrected it. Right?
Every INTELLIGENT person here knows something is not right when tanks can go airboard like a Duke of Hazard car and can also out run guided missiles. |

Right? Every INTELLIGENT person here knows something is not right when tanks can go airboard like a Duke of Hazard car and can also out run guided missiles. Do you really think an armor tank is three times faster than a shield tank? Think again. Plus I've never been able to even come close to outrunning missiles. I can see them coming from max lock on range, I hit full speed, and they still hit me. Also, objects, regardless of mass, can get airborne if they are traveling at a sufficient speed off of a sufficient surface. Gravity pulls things down equally regardless of mass. Physics 101.
What I think is that HAVs should have reasonable speeds - maybe half that of LAVs. What I think is that HAVs shouldn't be getting enough air time to jump other vehicles after hitting a sand dune.
What I also think is that HAVs should reflect damage taken, if it significant enough - ie shields are gone, armour below X%, a tank should lose speed or its turret should malfunction. What I also think is that HAVs should require one pilot plus (at least) one person for gunner and to run systems. What I also think is that HAVs (or anyone else) should not be able to redline swipe. I also think that HAVs should not get an alarm when approaching (now nerfed) proxy mines.
Also, if you can't out run/manoeuvre a missile these days, you must be doing something wrong. Seems that everyone besides most blueberries can simply hit a turbo or jump a hill or duck behind a rock/wall to avoid a missile.
